All our cats have tested negative for feline aids and leukemia, treated for worms, given flea prevention, microchipped, vaccinated, and spayed or neutered. Our adoption fee is $100.
We are always looking for donations. Please contact us or come see us at an adoption event if you can help. We can always use cash, litter, food, carriers, litter boxes, and any other cat related items.
Who We Are
Friends for Life Animal Outreach is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in the Sacramento CA area. Our organization is run completely by volunteers who are dedicated to the care and well-being of companion animals. Our volunteers are concerned citizens who share the hope of making a difference for the many homeless cats and dogs crowding shelters and surviving in the alleys, parks, and buildings of our community.
Our Mission Statement
- To rescue, rehabilitate, and place domestic animals into stable homes.
- To educate the public about the responsibilities of pet ownership in an attempt to alleviate the problem of unwanted pets.
- To build public awareness about the human-animal bond and its benefits to society.
Adopting a friend
Friends for Life rescues, rehabilitates, and places companion animals into loving stable homes. By working with local veterinarians, we ensure that our animals undergo disease and parasite testing, vaccinations, sterilization surgery, and other necessary treatment. We also microchip our animals. Animals are housed in a network of foster homes in the Sacramento area. Potential adopters are selected through an adoption application process and a visit to the home. There is a nominal adoption fee. All cats available for adoption can be viewed on this site. If you find a cat/kitten you are interested in please go to our website and fill out a questionnaire or visit us at our adoption events.
